Bachelor of Engineering
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at UCE Pattukkottai was established in 2009 with the vision of producing skilled engineers in the rapidly evolving field of electronics and communication.
Supported by experienced faculty and well-equipped laboratories, the department provides a strong foundation in communication systems, embedded technologies, signal processing, and electronic circuit design.
Through seminars, workshops, internships, and industry collaborations, students gain hands-on exposure to emerging technologies such as IoT, VLSI, Robotics, and 5G, preparing them for academic and professional excellence.
The B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering program is a four-year undergraduate degree offered under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) of Anna University, Chennai. It integrates strong theoretical foundations with practical skills required in electronics, embedded systems, and communication technologies.
The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects including Analog and Digital Electronics, Communication Systems, Microprocessors, Control Engineering, Electromagnetic Fields, VLSI Design, Wireless Communication, and Digital Signal Processing. Students also gain exposure to emerging domains such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Embedded Systems through hands-on labs and project-based learning.
The program encourages innovation, design thinking, and interdisciplinary learning, enabling graduates to pursue successful careers in core electronics, software industries, research institutions, and higher education across the globe.
The ECE curriculum is carefully designed to impart strong analytical and design skills in both hardware and communication systems. It balances theory, laboratory sessions, mini-projects, and major project work to prepare students for technological advancements.
Curriculum Highlights:
